The Handel Festival Orchestra (HFO) is a New York City based orchestra dedicated to celebrating the beautiful and majestic sounds of the baroque and classical eras. Comprised of professional and community musicians, the orchestra performs an annual concert series in Manhattan while also providing music to senior centers and hospitals.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER AND CONDUCTOR:

Thomas Elefant, an accomplished conductor, musician, and university lecturer, founded the Handel Festival Orchestra in 2009 to pursue his passion for the performance of the emotion filled music of G.F. Handel. By providing the audience with pre-concert lectures, Mr. Elefant highlights the unique elements that distinguish it from music of other composers.
